The display panel includes a transistor, an insulating layer disposed on the transistor, a light emitting element electrically connected to the transistor and including a first electrode disposed on the insulating layer, a light emitting layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the light emitting layer, a stopper pattern disposed spaced apart from the first electrode, a pixel definition layer provided on the stopper pattern. A first opening extends through the pixel definition layer to the first electrode, and a second opening extends through the pixel defining layer to the stopper pattern. A thin film encapsulation layer disposed on the pixel definition layer and inside the second opening, covering the light emitting element.
