PRESSURE VARIABLE WEATHER STRIP CONTROL METHOD - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17880040 titled 'PRESSURE VARIABLE WEATHER STRIP CONTROL METHOD
Simplified Explanation
The abstract describes a method for controlling a pressure variable weather strip to adjust the pressure of a sealing part in a vehicle. Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:
- The method involves checking if a vehicle's opening/closing part is closed.
- When the vehicle reaches a specific speed, the pressure of the sealing part is increased.
- An air supply device is used to supply air to the sealing part.
Potential Applications:
- Automotive industry: This technology can be applied in vehicles to improve the sealing efficiency of doors, windows, and other opening/closing parts.
Problems Solved:
- Inefficient sealing: The method ensures that the sealing part of the weather strip maintains an optimal pressure, preventing air or water leakage into the vehicle.
Benefits:
- Enhanced comfort: By maintaining a proper seal, the method helps to reduce noise, drafts, and external elements entering the vehicle, providing a more comfortable environment for passengers.
- Improved energy efficiency: Proper sealing helps to minimize air conditioning or heating losses, leading to improved energy efficiency in the vehicle.
- Enhanced safety: Preventing water leakage into the vehicle can help avoid damage to electrical components and potential hazards associated with wet interiors.
Original Abstract Submitted
A method of controlling a pressure variable weather strip for varying a pressure of a sealing part of the weather strip is provided. The method includes a closing checking step of, by a controller, checking whether an opening/closing part of a vehicle is in a closed state. When a vehicle speed reaches a preset target vehicle speed to increase the pressure of the sealing part in a state in which the opening/closing part is closed, the controller operates an air supply device to supply air to the sealing part.
