RESIN COMPOSITION AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING ADHESIVE MEMBER FORMED FROM THE RESIN COMPOSITION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17872309 titled 'RESIN COMPOSITION AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING ADHESIVE MEMBER FORMED FROM THE RESIN COMPOSITION

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a resin composition that includes certain monomers, bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates, and a photoinitiator. The bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates have different molecular weights, with the second one being higher than the first. The weight of the first bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate is greater than or equal to the weight of the second one in the overall composition.

  • The resin composition includes at least one (meth)acrylate monomer, bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates, and a photoinitiator.
  • The bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates have different molecular weights, with the second one being higher than the first.
  • The weight of the first bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate is greater than or equal to the weight of the second one in the overall composition.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Coatings and paints
  • Adhesives and sealants
  • 3D printing materials

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improved mechanical properties of the resin composition
  • Enhanced curing and crosslinking efficiency
  • Increased flexibility and durability of the final product

Benefits of this technology:

  • Higher performance and quality of coatings, adhesives, and 3D printed objects
  • Improved resistance to wear, impact, and chemicals
  • Increased versatility in formulation and customization of resin compositions.

Original Abstract Submitted

A resin composition includes at least one (meth)acrylate monomer, a plurality of bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates, and at least one photoinitiator. The plurality of bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylates includes a first bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate having a first weight average molecular weight, and a second bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate having a second weight average molecular weight that is higher than the first weight average molecular weight. A first weight of the first bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate is greater than or equal to a second weight of the second bifunctional urethane (meth)acrylate with respect to a total weight of the resin composition.
