INDICATING AN AVAILABILITY OF SUB-SLOTS IN A SUB-BAND FULL DUPLEX SLOT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17821657 titled 'INDICATING AN AVAILABILITY OF SUB-SLOTS IN A SUB-BAND FULL DUPLEX SLOT

Simplified Explanation

- User equipment (UE) can receive an enhanced reduced capability (eRedCap) downlink and uplink bandwidth part (BWP) configuration from a network node. - The eRedCap configuration includes a bit indicating the availability of a sub-band in the sub-band full duplex (SBFD) slot. - The UE can communicate with the network node based on the eRedCap configuration.

Potential Applications

- Improved efficiency in wireless communication networks. - Enhanced spectrum utilization in sub-band full duplex systems.

Problems Solved

- Efficient allocation of bandwidth in wireless communication. - Optimizing communication resources in sub-band full duplex setups.

Benefits

- Increased data transmission capacity. - Better utilization of available spectrum. - Enhanced communication reliability.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an enhanced reduced capability (eRedCap) downlink and uplink bandwidth part (BWP) configuration associated with a sub-band full duplex (SBFD) slot, wherein the eRedCap downlink and uplink BWP configuration includes a bit indicating an availability of a sub-band in the SBFD slot. The UE may perform, with the network node, a communication based at least in part on the eRedCap downlink and uplink BWP configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.
