FACILITATING INDOOR VEHICLE NAVIGATION FOR OBJECT COLLECTION - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17818677 titled 'FACILITATING INDOOR VEHICLE NAVIGATION FOR OBJECT COLLECTION
Simplified Explanation
Methods and systems for a navigation system for object transport vehicles in an indoor environment are described in this patent application.
- The navigation system obtains a list of objects that need to be collected.
- The system determines the locations of these objects within the indoor environment.
- It also identifies the locations of other object transport vehicles.
- The system generates a path for the object transport vehicle to collect the objects and avoid congested areas in the indoor environment.
Potential Applications
- Warehouse logistics
- Manufacturing facilities
- Hospitals for transporting medical supplies
Problems Solved
- Efficient collection of objects in indoor environments
- Avoiding congestion and optimizing routes for object transport vehicles
Benefits
- Increased efficiency in object collection
- Reduced risk of collisions and congestion
- Improved overall workflow in indoor environments
Original Abstract Submitted
Methods and systems are described herein for a navigation system that may be coupled with an object transport vehicle. The navigation system may obtain a list of objects that need to be collected and determine locations of these objects within the indoor environment. In addition, the navigation system may determine locations of other object transport vehicles and may then generate a path for the object transport vehicle so that the object transport vehicle is able to collect the objects in the list and also avoid congested parts of the indoor environment.
