METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING UPLINK IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17798023 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING UPLINK IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method and device for transmitting data in a wireless communication system. Here are the key points:

  • The method involves receiving downlink control information (DCI) from a base station. This information is used to schedule the transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and trigger the transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS).
  • The PUSCH and/or the SRS are then transmitted to the base station based on the received DCI.
  • If the transmission slot of the SRS is the same as the transmission slot of the PUSCH, and if the PUSCH and the SRS collide at one or more symbols within that slot, the PUSCH is transmitted in the first slot.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks, to improve the efficiency and reliability of uplink transmissions.
  • It can be used in applications that require real-time data transmission, such as video streaming or online gaming, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted communication.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • The method addresses the issue of collisions between the PUSCH and SRS signals in the same transmission slot, which can cause interference and degrade the overall performance of the system.
  • By intelligently scheduling the transmission of the PUSCH and SRS based on the received DCI, this method reduces the likelihood of collisions and improves the reliability of uplink transmissions.

Benefits of this technology:

  • The method allows for efficient and reliable uplink transmissions by optimizing the scheduling of PUSCH and SRS signals.
  • By reducing collisions and interference, this technology improves the overall performance and capacity of wireless communication systems.
  • It enables better utilization of available resources, leading to improved network efficiency and enhanced user experience.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed are a method and a device for transmitting an uplink in a wireless communication system. An uplink transmission method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) and triggering the transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS); and transmitting the PUSCH and/or the SRS to the base station on the basis of the DCI. The PUSCH may be transmitted in a first slot if i) the transmission slot of the SRS, as determined by a slot offset related to the SRS, is the same first slot as the transmission slot of the PUSCH, and ii) the PUSCH and the SRS collide at one or more symbols within the first slot.
