SIDELINK OPERATING METHOD OF CSI-RS TRANSMISSION-RELATED UE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17768062 titled 'SIDELINK OPERATING METHOD OF CSI-RS TRANSMISSION-RELATED UE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an operating method of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system involving transmitting sidelink control information and channel status information reference signal (CSI-RS) in separate data areas within a slot.

  • The method involves transmitting sidelink control information in one data area of a slot.
  • Additionally, the method includes transmitting a channel status information reference signal (CSI-RS) in a separate data area within the same slot.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various wireless communication systems where efficient transmission of control and status information is required.

Problems Solved

1. Efficient transmission of sidelink control information and channel status information reference signal in a wireless communication system. 2. Separation of symbols for different types of information within the same slot.

Benefits

1. Improved reliability and performance of wireless communication systems. 2. Enhanced coordination and management of control and status information transmission.

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing resource allocation in 5G networks for improved efficiency and performance.

Possible Prior Art

There may be existing methods for transmitting control and status information in wireless communication systems, but the specific technique of separating symbols for different types of information within the same slot may be novel.

Unanswered Questions

How does this method impact the overall throughput of the wireless communication system?

The abstract does not provide information on how this method may affect the overall data throughput of the system.

Are there any specific hardware requirements for implementing this method in user equipment (UE)?

Details on any hardware specifications or modifications needed to support this operating method are not mentioned in the abstract.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed in one embodiment is an operating method of user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: transmitting sidelink control information mapped to a first data area in a slot; and transmitting a channel status information reference signal (CSI-RS) mapped to a second data area in the slot, wherein a symbol of the first data area and a symbol of the second data area are separated from each other.
