METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY DISPLAYING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE OBJECT IN VOLUMETRIC DISPLAY APPARATUS, DYNAMIC VOLUMETRIC DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-PROGRAM PRODUCT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17764472 titled 'METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY DISPLAYING THREE-DIMENSIONAL IMAGE OBJECT IN VOLUMETRIC DISPLAY APPARATUS, DYNAMIC VOLUMETRIC DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-PROGRAM PRODUCT

Simplified Explanation

The method involves dynamically displaying a three-dimensional image object in a volumetric display apparatus by rotating a display plate, displaying first and second three-dimensional images, sensing the position or movement of an external object, and reorienting the image object based on the external object's position or movement.

  • Rotating a display plate to show a volumetric three-dimensional image
  • Displaying first and second three-dimensional images in the display region
  • Sensing the position or movement of an external object within a sensing zone
  • Reorienting the image object based on the external object's position or movement

Potential Applications

  • Entertainment industry for creating immersive visual experiences
  • Medical field for displaying three-dimensional medical images
  • Education sector for interactive learning experiences

Problems Solved

  • Enhances user interaction with three-dimensional images
  • Allows for real-time adjustments of displayed images based on external input
  • Provides a more engaging and interactive display experience

Benefits

  • Improved user engagement and interaction with displayed images
  • Real-time adjustments for a more dynamic display
  • Enhanced user experience in various industries such as entertainment, medical, and education

Original Abstract Submitted

A method of dynamically displaying a three-dimensional image object in a volumetric display apparatus is provided. The method includes rotating a display plate about an axis to display a volumetric three-dimensional image; displaying a first three-dimensional image of a first three-dimensional image object according to first coordinates in a first image coordinate system in the volumetric display region; sensing a position or a movement of an external real-world object within a sensing zone; and displaying a second three-dimensional image of a second three-dimensional image object according to second coordinates in a second image coordinate system in the volumetric display region. The second three-dimensional image object is obtained by reorienting the first three-dimensional image object from an initial orientation to a target orientation; and the reorientation is correlated with a position or the movement of the external real-world object.
