SIDELINK TRANSMISSION OF CROSS-LINK INTERFERENCE INFORMATION BY A VICTIM USER EQUIPMENT - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17757991 titled 'SIDELINK TRANSMISSION OF CROSS-LINK INTERFERENCE INFORMATION BY A VICTIM USER EQUIPMENT
Simplified Explanation
The abstract of this patent application describes a wireless communication system where a victim user equipment (UE) measures the strength of interference caused by an aggressor UE. The victim UE measures this interference by observing collisions between uplink transmissions from the aggressor UE and downlink transmissions to the victim UE. The victim UE then sends this interference information to the aggressor UE using a sidelink channel.
- The victim UE measures cross-link interference strength caused by an aggressor UE.
- The measurement is based on collisions between uplink and downlink transmissions.
- The victim UE sends the interference information to the aggressor UE using a sidelink channel.
Potential Applications
- Wireless communication systems
- Mobile networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) devices
Problems Solved
- Minimizing cross-link interference in wireless communication systems
- Improving the overall performance and reliability of wireless networks
Benefits
- Enhanced communication quality by reducing interference
- Improved efficiency and capacity of wireless networks
- Better user experience with reduced signal degradation and dropped connections
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a victim user equipment (UE) may measure a cross-link interference strength from an aggressor UE based at least in part on an uplink transmission from the aggressor UE colliding with a downlink transmission to the victim UE. The victim UE may transmit cross-link interference information to the aggressor UE on a sidelink channel. For example, the cross-link interference information transmitted to the aggressor UE may indicate at least the cross-link interference strength measured by the victim UE. Numerous other aspects are provided.
