Voice Payment Method and Electronic Device - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17757170 titled 'Voice Payment Method and Electronic Device
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a voice payment method and an electronic device. Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:
- The method involves using voice information to indicate a payment operation performed by a user.
- If the voiceprint feature of the voice information meets a preset condition, a second electronic device is requested to authenticate the user.
- The second electronic device prompts the user to perform an authentication process, which can include fingerprint authentication, facial recognition, password authentication, verification code authentication, or near field communication (NFC) authentication.
- If the authentication process succeeds, the second electronic device informs the first electronic device about the successful authentication.
- The first electronic device then completes the payment operation with a payment platform.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Voice payment methods can be used in various industries, including e-commerce, retail, and banking.
- It can provide a convenient and secure way for users to make payments using their voice.
- This technology can be integrated into mobile devices, smart speakers, and other voice-enabled devices.
Problems solved by this technology:
- This technology eliminates the need for physical payment methods like credit cards or cash.
- It provides an additional layer of security by requiring user authentication before completing a payment operation.
- Users can make payments quickly and easily by simply using their voice.
Benefits of this technology:
- Voice payment methods offer a more seamless and frictionless payment experience for users.
- It reduces the risk of fraud and unauthorized transactions by incorporating user authentication.
- This technology can enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities who may have difficulty using traditional payment methods.
