COMMUNICATIONS IN POWER SAVING MODE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17644218 titled 'COMMUNICATIONS IN POWER SAVING MODE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract of this patent application describes a wireless communication system where a user equipment (UE) receives information about a power saving mode of a base station. The UE then adjusts its communication parameters based on this power saving mode.

  • The user equipment (UE) receives information about the power saving mode of a base station.
  • The UE adjusts its communication parameters based on the power saving mode.
  • The communication parameters that may be adjusted include:
 * Physical downlink shared channel configuration
 * Downlink control information configuration
 * Demodulation reference signal configuration
 * Transport block size configuration
 * Block error rate configuration
 * Layer configuration

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Wireless communication systems
  • Power saving modes in base stations
  • User equipment (UE) adjusting communication parameters based on power saving modes

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Efficient power management in wireless communication systems
  • Optimizing communication parameters based on power saving modes

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved power efficiency in wireless communication systems
  • Enhanced performance of user equipment (UE) by adjusting communication parameters based on power saving modes.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a power saving mode of a base station. The UE may communicate with the base station using one or more communication parameters that are based at least in part on the power saving mode, the one or more communication parameters comprising one or more of: a physical downlink shared channel configuration, a downlink control information configuration, a demodulation reference signal configuration, a transport block size configuration, a block error rate configuration, or a layer configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.
