RESOURCE PATTERN INDICATION FROM DISTRIBUTED UNIT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17643117 titled 'RESOURCE PATTERN INDICATION FROM DISTRIBUTED UNIT

Simplified Explanation

Abstract

The abstract of this patent application describes various aspects of wireless communication. One aspect involves a first node of a wireless network transmitting an indication of a suggested resource pattern for a distributed unit (DU) to another node, a user equipment, or a child node in the network. The first node can then transmit or receive communication in the network based on the received resource pattern.

Explanation

  • A first node in a wireless network can suggest a resource pattern for a distributed unit (DU) to other nodes, user equipment, or child nodes in the network.
  • The suggested resource pattern can be transmitted by a first distributed unit (DU) of the first node to a central unit (CU), a second DU of another node, a user equipment, or a child node.
  • The first node can then use the received resource pattern to transmit or receive communication in the wireless network.

Potential Applications

This technology has potential applications in various wireless communication systems, including:

  • Cellular networks
  • Internet of Things (IoT) networks
  • Wireless sensor networks
  • Industrial automation systems

Problems Solved

This technology solves several problems in wireless communication, such as:

  • Efficient resource allocation in a wireless network
  • Optimizing communication performance by suggesting resource patterns
  • Facilitating coordination between different nodes in the network

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include:

  • Improved network efficiency and performance
  • Enhanced coordination and communication between nodes
  • Flexibility in resource allocation based on suggested patterns

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first node of a wireless network may transmit, by a first distributed unit (DU) of the first node to a central unit (CU), a second DU of another node in the wireless network, a user equipment in the wireless network, or a child node of the first node, an indication of a suggested resource pattern for the DU. The first node may transmit or receive a communication in the wireless network based at least in part on a resource pattern that is received in connection with transmitting the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.
