POWER CONTROL FOR SIDELINK FEEDBACK TRANSMISSIONS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17643082 titled 'POWER CONTROL FOR SIDELINK FEEDBACK TRANSMISSIONS

Simplified Explanation

Abstract Explanation

The abstract of this patent application describes a wireless communication system where a user equipment (UE) receives a configuration for controlling the power of feedback transmissions. The UE then transmits feedback using a power level determined by factors such as the number of resource blocks, symbols, pathloss value, or size of the transmission.

  • The patent application is related to wireless communication and specifically focuses on power control for feedback transmissions.
  • A user equipment (UE) is able to receive a configuration for controlling the power of feedback transmissions.
  • The UE then transmits feedback using a power level determined by factors such as the number of resource blocks, symbols, pathloss value, or size of the transmission.
  • This technology provides a more efficient way to control the power of feedback transmissions in wireless communication systems.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks, IoT networks, or wireless sensor networks.
  • It can improve the reliability and efficiency of feedback transmissions in these systems.
  • The technology can be used in applications that require reliable and low-latency communication, such as autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, or remote monitoring systems.

Problems Solved

  • One problem solved by this technology is the efficient control of power for feedback transmissions.
  • By considering factors such as the number of resource blocks, symbols, pathloss value, or size of the transmission, the power level can be optimized for better performance.
  • This helps to improve the overall reliability and efficiency of wireless communication systems.

Benefits

  • The technology provides a more efficient way to control the power of feedback transmissions, leading to improved performance in wireless communication systems.
  • By optimizing the power level based on various factors, the reliability and efficiency of feedback transmissions can be enhanced.
  • This can result in better overall system performance, reduced interference, and improved user experience.

Original Abstract Submitted

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for sidelink feedback power control. The UE may transmit a sidelink feedback transmission, in accordance with the configuration, using a transmit power that is based at least in part on at least one of: a quantity of resource blocks (RBs) associated with the sidelink feedback transmission, a quantity of symbols associated with the sidelink feedback transmission, a sidelink pathloss value, or a size of the sidelink feedback transmission. Numerous other aspects are provided.
