LIGHT EMITTING SUBSTRATE, DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF DRIVING LIGHT EMITTING SUBSTRATE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17631586 titled 'LIGHT EMITTING SUBSTRATE, DISPLAY APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF DRIVING LIGHT EMITTING SUBSTRATE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a light emitting substrate that consists of multiple light emitting controlling units arranged in rows and columns. Each column includes groups of second voltage signal lines connected to the light emitting controlling units.

  • The light emitting substrate is made up of multiple light emitting controlling units arranged in rows and columns.
  • Each column of the substrate contains groups of second voltage signal lines.
  • Each group of second voltage signal lines is connected to a respective light emitting controlling unit.
  • The groups of second voltage signal lines in each column can have multiple lines.
  • The light emitting substrate can be customized with different numbers of rows and columns.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Display panels: The light emitting substrate can be used in the manufacturing of display panels for various devices such as televisions, smartphones, and computer monitors.
  • Lighting systems: The substrate can be utilized in the creation of efficient and customizable lighting systems for residential, commercial, and industrial purposes.
  • Signage and advertising: The technology can be employed in the production of illuminated signs and advertising displays.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Efficient control: The arrangement of light emitting controlling units and voltage signal lines allows for precise control of the light emitted by the substrate.
  • Customization: The substrate can be tailored to specific requirements by adjusting the number of rows, columns, and voltage signal lines.
  • Space-saving: The compact design of the substrate enables it to be used in applications where space is limited.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved display quality: The precise control of light emitting units results in enhanced image quality and color accuracy.
  • Energy efficiency: The efficient control of the light emitting substrate helps reduce energy consumption.
  • Versatility: The customizable nature of the substrate allows for a wide range of applications and designs.
