A display device and a display method thereof are disclosed. The display method includes following steps: First, obtaining a target display frequency and a target backlight brightness value of a target display device. Then, obtaining a first display frequency and a first backlight brightness value of the target display device within a predetermined period. After that, confirming a backlight brightness compensation value of the target display device within the predetermined period according to a differential between the target display frequency and the first display frequency when the first display frequency and the target display frequency are different. Finally, compensating for the first backlight brightness value according to the backlight brightness compensation value.
