DISPLAY PANEL AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17622840 titled 'DISPLAY PANEL AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a display panel and an electronic device. The display panel consists of a first panel, a second panel, and a binding layer. The first panel contains light-emitting units and light-transmitting regions. The second panel includes photoelectric sensing elements and a second driving circuit layer with second driving transistors. The binding layer is placed between the first and second panels to bind them together.

  • The display panel includes light-emitting units and light-transmitting regions.
  • The second panel contains photoelectric sensing elements and a second driving circuit layer with second driving transistors.
  • The binding layer is positioned between the first and second panels to bind them together.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops could benefit from improved display panels.
  • Medical devices that require high-quality display panels for imaging or monitoring purposes.
  • Automotive industry for advanced dashboard displays or entertainment systems.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Improved display quality with the integration of light-emitting units and photoelectric sensing elements.
  • Enhanced functionality and performance of electronic devices with the second driving circuit layer.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Higher resolution and image quality due to the integration of light-emitting units and photoelectric sensing elements.
  • Improved efficiency and response time with the second driving circuit layer.
  • Enhanced durability and reliability with the binding layer securely holding the panels together.

Original Abstract Submitted

A display panel and an electronic device are provided. The display panel includes a first panel, a second panel, and a binding layer. The first panel includes light-emitting units, and also includes light-transmitting regions. The second panel includes photoelectric sensing elements and a second driving circuit layer. The second driving circuit layer includes second driving transistors. The second driving transistors are electrically connected to the photoelectric sensing elements, and the photoelectric sensing elements are opposite to the light-transmitting regions. The binding layer is disposed between the first panel and the second panel, and configure to bind the first panel and the second panel.
