SPLICED PANEL - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17622800 titled 'SPLICED PANEL

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a spliced panel that consists of at least two display panels. Each display panel has a bending part and a non-bending part. The bending part is bent from the side of the non-bending part to the back surface of the display panel. The non-bending part is used to display an image. The bending parts of the display panels are spliced together to form a support structure, on which a light-emitting diode (LED) substrate is placed.

  • The patent describes a spliced panel made up of multiple display panels.
  • Each display panel has a bending part and a non-bending part.
  • The bending part is bent from the side of the non-bending part to the back surface of the display panel.
  • The non-bending part is used for displaying images.
  • The bending parts of the display panels are spliced together to create a support structure.
  • A light-emitting diode (LED) substrate is placed on the support structure.

Potential Applications:

  • This technology can be used in the manufacturing of flexible display screens.
  • It can be applied in the development of foldable electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, or e-readers.
  • The spliced panel can be used in curved or flexible displays for advertising or signage purposes.

  • It provides a more immersive and engaging user experience with curved or flexible displays.
  • The technology allows for thinner and lighter display panels, contributing to the development of sleek and portable devices.
  • The integration of LED substrates enhances the brightness and energy efficiency of the display.

Original Abstract Submitted

A spliced panel is disclosed. At least two display panels are spliced to each other. Each of the at least two display panels includes a bending part and a non-bending part. The bending part is bent from a side of the non-bending part to a back surface of the at least two display panels. The non-bending part is configured to display an image. In the at least two display panels spliced to each other, the bending part of one of the at least two display panels is correspondingly spliced to the bending part of another of the at least two display panels to form a support structure. A light-emitting diode (LED) substrate is disposed on the support structure.
