EXCHANGE OF MESSAGES SPLIT INTO FRAGMENTS FOR DIFFERENT RECIPIENTS ON CLIENT SIDE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17457453 titled 'EXCHANGE OF MESSAGES SPLIT INTO FRAGMENTS FOR DIFFERENT RECIPIENTS ON CLIENT SIDE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a system and method for exchanging messages using a messaging client. Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:

  • The method involves dividing the content of a message into fragments based on different recipients of the message.
  • Multiple transport messages are created, each containing one or more fragments associated with specific recipients.
  • These transport messages are sent to a messaging server, which delivers them to the corresponding messaging clients of the recipients.
  • The recipients' messaging clients then aggregate the fragments to reconstruct the original message.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Communication platforms: This technology can be used in messaging applications, email systems, or any platform that involves exchanging messages between multiple recipients.
  • Collaborative tools: It can be implemented in collaborative tools where messages need to be shared with specific individuals or groups.
  • Notification systems: The method can be used to send targeted notifications to different users based on the content of the message.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Efficient message delivery: By dividing the message into fragments and sending only the relevant fragments to each recipient, the system optimizes the delivery process.
  • Privacy and security: The method ensures that each recipient only receives the fragments of the message intended for them, enhancing privacy and security.
  • Streamlined message aggregation: The messaging clients of the recipients can easily aggregate the fragments to reconstruct the original message, simplifying the user experience.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved message organization: By dividing the message into fragments associated with different recipients, the system helps organize and manage messages more effectively.
  • Enhanced privacy and security: The method ensures that sensitive information is only shared with the intended recipients, reducing the risk of unauthorized access.
  • Efficient message delivery: By sending only the necessary fragments to each recipient, the system optimizes bandwidth usage and reduces message processing time.

Original Abstract Submitted

A system and related method exchange messages under the control of a messaging client. The method comprises splitting a content of a source message into a plurality of fragments defined by corresponding portions of its content associated with different recipients of the message. A plurality of transport messages are generated, each comprising one or more of the fragments associated with the recipients. The transport messages are submitted to a messaging server for causing it to provide the transport messages to corresponding further messaging clients of the recipients for their aggregation. A computer program and a computer program product for performing the method are also provided.
