PARAMETER SWITCH CONFIGURATIONS FOR PERIODIC COMMUNICATION OCCASIONS ASSOCIATED WITH MU-MIMO OPERATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17454924 titled 'PARAMETER SWITCH CONFIGURATIONS FOR PERIODIC COMMUNICATION OCCASIONS ASSOCIATED WITH MU-MIMO OPERATION
Simplified Explanation
The abstract of this patent application describes a wireless communication system where a user equipment (UE) can switch between different parameter configurations to enable different types of communication occasions.
- The UE receives a parameter switch configuration that includes a first parameter configuration indicating a specific value of a configuration parameter for a single user multiple input multiple output (MIMO) operation.
- The UE also receives a second parameter configuration indicating a different value of the configuration parameter for a multiple user MIMO operation.
- Based on the parameter switch configuration, the UE can communicate with at least one wireless communication device.
Potential applications of this technology:
- Wireless communication systems
- Mobile networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) devices
- Smart home devices
Problems solved by this technology:
- Efficient use of wireless communication resources
- Flexibility in adapting to different communication scenarios
- Optimization of communication performance for different types of MIMO operations
Benefits of this technology:
- Improved communication efficiency
- Enhanced flexibility in wireless communication
- Better utilization of wireless communication resources
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a parameter switch configuration comprising: a first parameter configuration that indicates a first value of a configuration parameter, the first value corresponding to a first set of communication occasions associated with a single user multiple input multiple output (MIMO) operation; and a second parameter configuration that indicates a second value of the configuration parameter, the second value corresponding to a second set of communication occasions associated with a multiple user MIMO operation. The UE may communicate, based at least in part on the parameter switch configuration, with at least one wireless communication device. Numerous other aspects are described.
