EMOTIONAL RESONANCE SCORING OF A VISUAL STIMULUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 17723724 Titled 'EMOTIONAL RESONANCE SCORING OF A VISUAL STIMULUS'

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an apparatus that uses a processing device to analyze visual stimuli and identify objects within them. It also determines emotional resonance scores for each object, which represent the intensity and emotional effect on a viewer. The processing device can then modify the design of the visual stimulus to adjust the emotional resonance scores of the objects.

Original Abstract Submitted

An apparatus includes a processing device configured to obtain an information density matrix characterizing information density of feature points in an input visual stimulus, and to analyze content of the input visual stimulus utilizing the information density matrix to identify one or more objects in the input visual stimulus. The processing device is also configured to determine emotional resonance scores associated with each of the objects in the input visual stimulus, a given emotional resonance score for a given one of the one or more objects characterizing an intensity and an emotional valence of an emotional effect of the given object on a user viewing the input visual stimulus. The processing device is further configured to modify a design of the input visual stimulus to adjust at least one of the emotional resonance scores associated with at least one of the one or more objects in the input visual stimulus.
