Original Abstract Submitted

a display device includes a first display substrate, a second display substrate, and a sealing member. the first display substrate includes a first base layer. the second display substrate includes a second base layer including pixel regions and a peripheral region, and color filters, and is disposed on the first display substrate. the sealing member is interposed between the first display substrate and the second display substrate. the first display substrate includes light emitting elements overlapped with the pixel regions, respectively, an encapsulation layer to cover the light emitting elements, a split pattern including openings overlapped with the pixel regions, respectively, and disposed on the encapsulation layer, and light control patterns disposed in the openings. an end portion of an organic layer of the encapsulation layer, which is overlapped with the non-display region, is covered by the split pattern.
