ROUTING METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240179610 titled 'ROUTING METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an IAB network with two different BAP topologies managed by separate donor nodes. The first BAP topology is managed by the first donor node, while the second BAP topology is managed by the second donor node. The first IAB node, belonging to the first BAP topology, receives a data packet and processes it based on the corresponding BAP topology.

  • IAB network with two BAP topologies
  • Separate management by donor nodes
  • Data packet processing based on BAP topology

Original Abstract Submitted

this application provides an iab network includes a first bap topology and a second bap topology, the first bap topology is managed by a first donor node, the second bap topology is managed by a second donor node. in the iab network, a first iab node receives a first data packet, where the first iab node is managed by the first donor node, at least one parent node of the first lab node is managed by the second donor node, and the first iab node belongs to the first bap topology. the first iab node processes the first data packet based on a bap topology corresponding to an ingress link for receiving the first data packet.
