SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTRACTING PATCHES FROM DIGITAL IMAGES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18615637 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXTRACTING PATCHES FROM DIGITAL IMAGES

The patent application describes a system that analyzes digital images to identify skin regions and head regions, extracting patches from non-head regions for display based on scores.

  • System analyzes digital images to identify skin regions and head regions
  • Extracts patches from non-head regions for display based on scores
  • Utilizes one or more processors and computer-readable media to perform operations
  • Enhances display of digital images on electronic displays
  • Provides a method for highlighting specific regions within digital images

Potential Applications: This technology could be used in image editing software, medical imaging analysis, and facial recognition systems.

Problems Solved: The system streamlines the process of identifying and displaying specific regions within digital images, improving user experience and efficiency.

Benefits: Enhances the visual representation of digital images, improves accuracy in identifying skin regions, and provides a more engaging display experience.

Commercial Applications: "Advanced Image Analysis System for Enhanced Display" - This technology could be utilized in the development of advanced image editing software, medical imaging devices, and security systems.

Questions about the technology: 1. How does this system improve the accuracy of identifying skin regions in digital images? 2. What are the potential applications of this technology in the field of medical imaging analysis?

Original Abstract Submitted

A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations: analyzing a respective foreground of one or more related digital images to identify a respective skin region in the respective foreground of the one or more related digital images; when the respective skin region is not identified, analyzing the respective foreground of the one or more related digital images to identify a respective head region in the respective foreground; extracting one or more patches from respective non-head region remainders of the respective foreground; and coordinating displaying a patch of the one or more patches on an electronic display based on one or more scores for the one or more patches. Other embodiments are described herein.
