A wireless communication apparatus comprises: a communication unit configured to, in a case where a plurality of wireless links are established with another wireless communication apparatus, perform communication while switching an operation mode between a first operation mode in which while a packet is being transmitted to the other wireless communication apparatus via a first link of the plurality of wireless links, a packet can be received from the other wireless communication apparatus via a second link different from the first link, and a second operation mode in which while the packet is being transmitted in the first link, the packet is not received via the second link; and a control unit configured to control switching of the operation mode in accordance with a type of an application started up in the wireless communication apparatus.
