USE OF A DISTRIBUTED LEDGER SYSTEM FOR MONITORING GOODS DELIVERIES - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18473120 titled 'USE OF A DISTRIBUTED LEDGER SYSTEM FOR MONITORING GOODS DELIVERIES
The invention pertains to a method for monitoring goods delivery using a restricted access DLT system, involving nodes assigned to the buyer and seller, along with smart contracts for order processing and validation.
- The method involves initializing and logging goods delivery in the DLT system.
- Smart contracts handle delivery orders, confirmations, and goods logs.
- The system validates the goods delivery process, ensuring accuracy and security.
Potential Applications: - Supply chain management - E-commerce platforms - Logistics and shipping industries
Problems Solved: - Ensures transparency and accountability in goods delivery - Reduces the risk of fraud and errors in the delivery process
Benefits: - Enhanced trust between buyers and sellers - Streamlined and secure goods delivery process - Improved efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment
Commercial Applications: Title: "DLT-Based Goods Delivery Monitoring System for Enhanced Supply Chain Management" This technology can be utilized by e-commerce platforms, logistics companies, and retailers to optimize their goods delivery processes, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance overall supply chain management.
Questions about DLT-Based Goods Delivery Monitoring System: 1. How does the DLT system enhance the security of goods delivery? - The DLT system ensures secure and transparent tracking of goods delivery, reducing the risk of fraud and errors in the process. 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing a DLT-based goods delivery monitoring system? - Implementing a DLT system may require initial investment in technology and training, but the long-term benefits outweigh the challenges.
Original Abstract Submitted
The invention relates to a method for computer-implemented monitoring of a goods delivery from a seller to a buyer by using an access-restricted DLT system. The DLT system comprises a first DLT node assigned to the buyer and a second DLT node assigned to the seller. In addition, the DLT system provides at least one smart contract with program instructions for entering and checking delivery orders, order confirmations, and outgoing goods logs in the course of goods deliveries from the seller to the buyer, and for validating the goods delivery. The method comprises, for example, initialising the goods delivery in the DLT system, for example, logging the goods delivery in the DLT system and/or, for example, validating the goods delivery in the DLT system.
