SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INFORMATION TRANSFER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18430213 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INFORMATION TRANSFER

Simplified Explanation: The patent application discusses systems and methods for radio resource control (RRC) message delivery between integrated access and backhaul (IAB) entities.

  • Key Features and Innovation:
    • First IAB entity sends RRC message delivery status to a second IAB entity.
    • Message includes information on the status of buffered RRC messages.
    • Identification of the triggering RRC message is included in the delivery status.

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in wireless communication systems to improve the efficiency of RRC message delivery between IAB entities.

Problems Solved: This innovation addresses the need for effective communication and coordination between IAB entities for RRC message delivery in wireless networks.

Benefits: The technology enhances the reliability and performance of RRC message delivery, leading to improved overall network efficiency and user experience.

Commercial Applications: Optimizing RRC message delivery in wireless networks can benefit telecommunications companies, network equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders in the wireless communication industry.

Prior Art: There may be prior art related to RRC message delivery and coordination between IAB entities in wireless networks that should be considered in the patent application.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on the latest research and developments in RRC message delivery and coordination technologies in wireless communication systems.

Questions about RRC Message Delivery: 1. How does this technology improve the efficiency of RRC message delivery in wireless networks? 2. What are the potential challenges in implementing this system in real-world wireless communication environments?

Original Abstract Submitted

Presented are systems and methods related to radio resource control (RRC) message delivery. In some embodiments, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) entity sends to a second IAB entity a message related to RRC message delivery. The first IAB entity can comprise an IAB node or IAB donor DU. The second IAB entity can comprise an IAB donor. The message can comprise a RRC message delivery status to indicate that a buffered RRC message is discarded at the LAB node or IAB donor DU. In some embodiments, the RRC message delivery status includes an identifier of the RRC message which triggers the RRC message delivery status.
