METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENTERING SLEEP MODE BY TERMINAL IN NR V2X - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17912433 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ENTERING SLEEP MODE BY TERMINAL IN NR V2X
Simplified Explanation
The proposed method is for wireless communication between two devices. Here is a simplified explanation of the abstract:
- The first device receives a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) from the second device.
- The first device also receives a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) related to the PSCCH from the second device.
- The PSSCH carries sidelink control information (SCI), which includes information about whether it is the last transmission.
- Based on the slot index and sub-channel index related to the PSSCH, the first device determines a PSFCH resource.
- The first device transmits SL HARQ ACK information to the second device using the PSFCH resource.
- If the SCI indicates that the PSSCH is the last transmission, the first device enters a sleep state after transmitting the SL HARQ ACK information.
Potential applications of this technology:
- This method can be used in various wireless communication systems, such as cellular networks, IoT devices, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication.
- It can improve the efficiency and reliability of wireless communication between devices.
Problems solved by this technology:
- The method provides a way for devices to communicate wirelessly using a combination of control and shared channels.
- It allows for the transmission of important control information and acknowledgments between devices.
- The method also enables devices to enter a sleep state when necessary, conserving power and resources.
Benefits of this technology:
- The method improves the overall performance and reliability of wireless communication.
- It allows for efficient use of resources by determining the appropriate channel and transmission method.
- The ability to enter a sleep state when not actively transmitting helps conserve power and extend battery life.
Original Abstract Submitted
Proposed is a method for performing wireless communication by a first device. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) from a second device; receiving a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) related to the PSCCH from the second device, wherein sidelink control information (SCI) is received via the PSCCH or the PSSCH related to the PSCCH, and the SCI includes information indicating whether the PSSCH corresponds to last PSSCH transmission: determining a PSFCH resource on the basis of a slot index and a sub-channel index which are related to the PSSCH; transmitting SL HARQ ACK information to the second device via the PSFCH resource; and entering a sleep state on the basis that the SCI includes information indicating that the PSSCH corresponds to the last PSSCH transmission, and the first device transmits the SL HARQ ACK information via the PSFCH resource.
