VOICE OVER NEW RADIO USER IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND BASE STATION - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17768847 titled 'VOICE OVER NEW RADIO USER IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND BASE STATION

Simplified Explanation:

This patent application describes a method for identifying Voice over New Radio (VoNR) users by extracting a user terminal identifier from a connection request, checking it against a database, calculating the time difference between the request and the storage write time, and determining if it falls within a valid duration threshold to identify VoNR users.

  • Identifying VoNR users based on user terminal identifiers
  • Checking identifiers against a preconfigured database
  • Calculating time differences to determine user status
  • Establishing a valid duration threshold for identification
  • Utilizing this method in base stations and computer-readable media

Potential Applications: This technology can be applied in telecommunications networks to efficiently identify VoNR users and provide targeted services based on their status.

Problems Solved: This method addresses the challenge of accurately identifying VoNR users in a network, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.

Benefits: - Improved user identification in VoNR networks - Enhanced service customization for VoNR users - Efficient resource allocation based on user status

Commercial Applications: Title: Enhanced User Identification Method for VoNR Networks This technology can be utilized by telecommunications companies to optimize their VoNR services, improve user experience, and increase network efficiency.

Prior Art: Further research can be conducted on similar methods used in telecommunications networks for user identification and service provisioning.

Frequently Updated Research: Stay updated on advancements in VoNR technology, user identification methods, and network optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency of VoNR services.

Questions about VoNR Identification: 1. How does this method improve user identification in VoNR networks? 2. What are the potential implications of this technology for telecommunications companies?

Original Abstract Submitted

A voice over new radio (VoNR) user identification method is provided, including: in response to a RRC connection resume request, extracting an identifier of a user terminal from the RRC connection resume request; querying whether the identifier of the user terminal is stored in a preconfigured database, where several identifiers and storage write times respectively corresponding to the several identifiers are stored in the database; in response to querying that the identifier of the user terminal is stored in the database, calculating a time difference between a time at which the RRC connection resume request is received and a storage write time corresponding to the identifier of the user terminal; determining whether the time difference is shorter than a predefined valid duration threshold predefined; in response to determining that the time difference is shorter than the valid duration threshold, identifying that the user terminal is a VoNR user terminal. A base station and a computer-readable medium are further provided.
