ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240111224 titled 'ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS
Simplified Explanation
The present disclosure describes an electrophotographic photosensitive member designed to minimize potential fluctuations during high-speed printing processes. The member includes a support, a charge generating layer, and a charge transporting layer, with specific compounds included in the charge transporting layer to achieve this goal.
- Compound formula (c-1) and compounds from group (c-2) and (c-3) are included in the charge transporting layer.
- The content of compounds from group (c-2) in the charge transporting layer is between 250 to 610 mass ppm.
Potential Applications
The technology described in this patent application can be applied in high-speed electrophotographic printing processes where consistent print quality is essential.
Problems Solved
This innovation addresses the issue of potential fluctuations in electrophotographic photosensitive members due to repeated use, ensuring stable performance even at high printing speeds.
Benefits
- Improved print quality consistency - Enhanced performance in high-speed printing processes - Extended lifespan of electrophotographic photosensitive members
Potential Commercial Applications
One potential commercial application of this technology is in high-volume printing environments such as commercial printing presses or large-scale office printers.
Possible Prior Art
Prior art may include patents or publications related to electrophotographic photosensitive members with specific compounds in the charge transporting layer to improve performance and stability.
What are the specific compounds included in the charge transporting layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive member described in the patent application?
The specific compounds included in the charge transporting layer are compound formula (c-1) and compounds from group (c-2) and (c-3).
How does the content of compounds from group (c-2) in the charge transporting layer contribute to the overall performance of the electrophotographic photosensitive member?
The content of compounds from group (c-2) in the charge transporting layer helps to stabilize potential fluctuations and ensure consistent performance, especially during high-speed printing processes.
Original Abstract Submitted
an object of the present disclosure is to provide an electrophotographic photosensitive member which can suppress the potential fluctuation due to repeated use even with the electrophotographic apparatus of high printing process speed. the present disclosure provides an electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising: a support, a charge generating layer, and a charge transporting layer in this order, wherein the charge transporting layer comprises: () a compound represented by the formula (c-1), and () at least one selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by the following formula (c-2) and a compound represented by the formula (c-3), wherein a content of the () in the charge transporting layer with respect to a total mass of the charge transporting layer is 250 to 610 mass ppm.
