IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18522643 titled 'IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation: The patent application describes an image forming system that includes an image forming apparatus, a pressure-bonding processing apparatus, an inputting portion, and a displaying portion. The system is designed to stack recording materials with adhesive regions, form images on them, fold them, and pressure-bond them to create printed matter.

  • The image forming apparatus can stack recording materials with adhesive regions, print images on them, and fix the images.
  • The pressure-bonding processing apparatus can fold the recording materials and pressure-bond them to create printed matter.
  • The inputting portion allows for the input of directions for the front and back surfaces of the recording materials.
  • The displaying portion shows the pressure-bonded printed matter based on the inputted directions.

Potential Applications: This technology can be used in printing and publishing industries for creating printed materials with pressure-bonded folded pages.

Problems Solved: This technology streamlines the process of creating printed materials with folded pages by integrating image forming, folding, and pressure-bonding functions into a single system.

Benefits: - Efficient production of printed materials with folded pages - Simplified workflow for creating pressure-bonded printed matter - Improved quality and consistency in the final printed products

Commercial Applications: The technology can be applied in commercial printing services, book publishing, marketing materials production, and any industry requiring the production of printed materials with folded pages.

Prior Art: Readers can explore prior art related to image forming systems, pressure-bonding technologies, and printing processes to understand the evolution of similar technologies.

Frequently Updated Research: Researchers may find updated studies on advancements in image forming systems, pressure-bonding techniques, and innovations in printing technologies relevant to this patent application.

Questions about Image Forming System: 1. What are the key components of the image forming system described in the patent application? 2. How does the pressure-bonding processing apparatus contribute to the creation of printed matter in this system?

Original Abstract Submitted

An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus including a stacking portion capable of stacking a recording material having an adhesive region in which an adhesive is applied onto a surface of the recording material, an image forming unit for forming an image on the recording material, and a fixing portion for fixing the image formed on the recording material; a pressure-bonding processing apparatus including a folding processing portion for folding the recording material fed from the image forming apparatus, and a pressure-bonding portion capable of pressure-bonding the recording material folded by the folding processing portion under pressure application; an inputting portion capable of inputting directions of a front surface and a back surface of the recording material stacked on the stacking portion; and a displaying portion for displaying a pressure-bonding printed matter, on which the image is formed, depending on a result inputted by the inputting portion.
