COMMUNICATIONS METHOD AND COMMUNICATIONS APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18512379 titled 'COMMUNICATIONS METHOD AND COMMUNICATIONS APPARATUS
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method and apparatus for communication between multi-link devices, where information is exchanged to indicate the frequency at which a station in power-saving mode receives beacon frames.
- The first station in a multi-link device sends information to a second multi-link device to indicate the frequency at which a station in power-saving mode receives beacon frames.
- The second multi-link device uses this information to effectively manage cache services and data buffer space for each station in the first multi-link device.
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in wireless communication systems, IoT devices, and network management solutions.
Problems Solved
1. Efficient management of cache services and data buffer space in multi-link devices. 2. Optimizing power-saving modes for stations in a network.
Benefits
1. Improved network efficiency. 2. Enhanced data management capabilities. 3. Better utilization of resources in multi-link devices.
Potential Commercial Applications
Optimizing network performance in smart homes, industrial IoT systems, and enterprise networks.
Possible Prior Art
Prior art may include patents related to power-saving modes in wireless communication devices, network management solutions, and cache management techniques.

Original Abstract Submitted
This application provides a communications method and a communications apparatus. A first station in a first multi-link device sends first information to a second multi-link device, where the first information is used to indicate a frequency at which how often a station in a power saving mode in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame. In this way, the second multi-link device may learn about, based on the first information, how often a frequency at which a station in the first multi-link device receives a beacon frame, thereby helping the second multi-link device effectively manage a cache service of each station in the first multi-link device and manage a data buffer space.
