CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18451555 titled 'CONTROL DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a method for controlling supercharging in an internal combustion engine to prevent backfire.
- Backfire is generated in a set period before supercharging is performed by the supercharger.
- Supercharging is performed at a smaller supercharging pressure when backfire is generated in the set period.
- Supercharging is performed at a higher pressure when backfire is not generated in the set period.
---
- Potential Applications
- Automotive industry for improving engine performance and efficiency.
- Racing vehicles to enhance power output and acceleration.
- Problems Solved
- Preventing backfire in internal combustion engines.
- Optimizing supercharging process for better engine performance.
- Benefits
- Improved engine reliability and durability.
- Enhanced fuel efficiency and power output.
- Better control over engine combustion process.
Original Abstract Submitted
In an internal combustion engine having a cylinder in which an air-fuel mixture of gaseous fuel and intake air is combusted, an intake passage connected to the cylinder, and a supercharger for supercharging the intake air, in a case where backfire is generated in a set period before supercharging is performed by the supercharger, supercharging is performed at a smaller supercharging pressure than in a case where backfire is not generated in the set period.
