CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18300325 titled 'CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Simplified Explanation
The present invention relates to a control apparatus for color calibration of a printing apparatus that uses fluorescent materials.
- The control apparatus controls the printing of a patch on a printing medium using a fluorescent material.
- The patch is formed by printing both fluorescent and non-fluorescent materials, with at least one dot of the non-fluorescent material overlapping a dot of the fluorescent material.
- The correction unit of the control apparatus adjusts the printing amount of the fluorescent material based on the measurement of light reflected by the printing medium with the printed patch.
- The purpose of the invention is to achieve color calibration of the printing apparatus, regardless of any unevenness in the fluorescent whitening agent contained in the sheet.
- The invention ensures accurate and consistent color reproduction in printing with fluorescent materials.
Original Abstract Submitted
An object of the present disclosure is to perform color calibration of a printing apparatus that performs printing with a fluorescent material regardless of unevenness of a fluorescent whitening agent contained in the sheet. An embodiment of the present invention is a control apparatus including: a control unit that controls printing of a patch on a printing medium, the patch being formed by printing a fluorescent material; and a correction unit that corrects a printing amount of the fluorescent material based on a measurement result obtained by receiving light reflected by the printing medium on which the patch is printed, in which the patch is printed using the fluorescent material and a non-fluorescent material, and at least one dot of the non-fluorescent material overlaps a dot of the fluorescent material.
