LIQUID EJECTING HEAD, SUPPORT BODY, AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

  • This abstract for appeared for US patent application number 18191665 Titled 'LIQUID EJECTING HEAD, SUPPORT BODY, AND LIQUID EJECTING APPARATUS'

Simplified Explanation

This abstract describes a liquid ejecting head that includes a first-positioning-portion and a first-positioning-pin. The first-positioning-pin is inserted into the first-positioning-portion. The abstract also mentions a virtual cylinder that is inserted to the deepest position of the first-positioning-portion. This virtual cylinder has a maximum cross-sectional area when viewed in a specific direction called the first-direction. The side surface of the virtual cylinder is divided into three regions: the first-region, the second-region, and the third-region.

The first-region contacts with the first-positioning-portion on one side in a direction orthogonal to the first-direction, while it does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on the other side. The second-region, on the other hand, does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on the first side but contacts with it on the second side. The third-region does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on either side.

In summary, this liquid ejecting head has a specific structure involving a first-positioning-portion, a first-positioning-pin, and a virtual cylinder with different regions that either contact or do not contact with the first-positioning-portion.

Original Abstract Submitted

A liquid ejecting head includes a first-positioning-portion into which a first-positioning-pin of a support body is inserted. When a virtual cylinder inserted to a deepest position of the first-positioning-portion and having a maximum cross-sectional area when viewed in a first-direction which is a depth direction of the first-positioning-portion is defined as a first-virtual-cylinder, a side surface of the first-virtual-cylinder includes a first-region, a second-region, and a third-region disposed between the first-region and the second-region. The first-region contacts with the first-positioning-portion on a first-side which is one side in a second-direction orthogonal to the first-direction, and does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on a second-side which is the other side in the second-direction. The second-region does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on the first-side, and contacts with the first-positioning-portion on the second-side. The third-region does not contact with the first-positioning-portion on both the first-side and the second-side.
