PROJECTION DISPLAY METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240134591 titled 'PROJECTION DISPLAY METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for projecting different display interfaces onto separate windows of a target device, as well as providing a call interface and preset image display in response to call events.

  • Source end device projects first display interface of a first application on a first window and second display interface of a second application on a second window of target device.
  • Upon detecting a call event, the source end device provides a call interface and may display a preset image to block part or all of the call interface.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in video conferencing systems, where multiple applications need to be displayed simultaneously on different windows of a device.

Problems Solved

This technology solves the problem of efficiently managing multiple display interfaces on a target device, as well as providing a seamless transition between different interfaces in response to call events.

Benefits

The benefits of this technology include improved user experience, better organization of display interfaces, and the ability to quickly respond to call events without disrupting the user's workflow.

Potential Commercial Applications

Potential commercial applications of this technology include video conferencing software, remote collaboration tools, and multimedia presentation systems.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be the use of split-screen displays on gaming consoles to show multiple applications or content simultaneously.

Unanswered Questions

How does this technology impact power consumption on the target device?

This article does not address the potential impact of this technology on the power consumption of the target device.

What are the security implications of displaying preset images in response to call events?

This article does not discuss the security implications of displaying preset images in response to call events.

Original Abstract Submitted

a projection display method and an electronic device provide a source end device configured to project for display a first display interface of a first application onto a first window of a target device and to synchronously project for display on a second window of the target device a second display interface of a second application. when the source end device detects a call event, the source end device may provide a call interface for the call event and, upon the occurrence of predetermined conditions, terminate display of the call interface of the call event and optionally display a preset image to block display of all or part of the call interface.
