HARDWARE-TYPE-BASED MULTI-COMPONENT PERSONALITY CONFIGURATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240134655 titled 'HARDWARE-TYPE-BASED MULTI-COMPONENT PERSONALITY CONFIGURATION SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a system for configuring the personality of computing devices based on the hardware components they contain.

  • The system includes two component stocks with different hardware types.
  • The system identifies computing device orders and determines which hardware type components can provide the necessary personality configurations.
  • The system then instructs the provisioning of the appropriate hardware type components and configures them accordingly.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in the customization of computing devices for specific user needs or preferences.

Problems Solved

This system solves the problem of efficiently configuring the personality of computing devices based on their hardware components.

Benefits

The system allows for personalized configurations of computing devices, optimizing their performance and user experience.

Potential Commercial Applications

"Hardware-Based Multi-Component Personality Configuration System for Computing Devices" could be used in the consumer electronics industry for customizing devices for different market segments.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be systems that configure computing devices based on software settings rather than hardware components.

What are the security implications of this technology?

This article does not address the potential security implications of configuring computing devices based on hardware components.

How does this technology compare to software-based configuration systems?

This article does not provide a comparison between hardware-based and software-based configuration systems for computing devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

a hardware-type-based multi-component personality configuration system includes a first component stock including first hardware type components having a first hardware type, a second component stock including second hardware type components having a second hardware type that is different than the first hardware type, and a component configuration system. the component configuration system identifies computing device order(s) for computing device(s) that include a plurality of components, and determines that a respective personality configuration in the computing device order(s) for each of a first subset of the plurality components included in the computing device(s) may be provided by the first hardware type components. the component configuration system then instructs the provisioning of the first hardware type components in the computing device(s), and configures each of the first hardware type components to operate according to the respective personality configuration for each of the first subset of the plurality components.
