SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING DIGITAL SERVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240020615 titled 'SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING DIGITAL SERVICE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for evaluating a digital service. Here are the key points:

  • The method involves defining benchmarks for different categories of the service.
  • For each benchmark, at least two options are defined, and a weight value is assigned to each option.
  • Users provide responses by selecting one of the options for each benchmark.
  • The processor calculates a weighted total value for each benchmark based on the selected options.
  • The availability of specific functionalities related to the benchmarks is determined.
  • Benchmark values are assigned based on the calculated weighted total values if the corresponding functionality is available.
  • A digital service score is calculated by summing the assigned benchmark values and the weighted total values.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Evaluating the performance and quality of digital services such as websites, apps, or online platforms.
  • Comparing different digital services based on predefined benchmarks and user feedback.
  • Providing feedback and recommendations for improving digital services based on the calculated scores.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Lack of a standardized method for evaluating and comparing digital services.
  • Difficulty in assessing the overall performance and quality of a digital service.
  • Inefficient feedback collection and analysis process.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Provides a systematic and objective evaluation of digital services.
  • Enables users to make informed decisions when choosing between different services.
  • Helps service providers identify areas for improvement and enhance user satisfaction.

Original Abstract Submitted

disclosed is a method for evaluating a digital service. the method comprises defining, via processor, benchmarks for plurality of service categories; defining, via the processor, at least two options for each of the benchmarks; defining, via the processor, a weight value for each of the at least two options; receiving, via the processor, responses in the form of selection of one of the at least two options; calculating, via the processor, a weighted total value for each benchmark; determining, via the processor, if a particular functionality related with one of the benchmarks is available; assigning, via the processor, a benchmark value to each benchmark equal to the calculated weighted total value for the corresponding benchmark of the benchmarks if the particular functionality is available; and calculating, via the processor, a digital service score based on a sum of the assigned benchmark values and a sum of the weighted total value.
