COMPRESSION VEST FOR CHILD WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240008566 titled 'COMPRESSION VEST FOR CHILD WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER

Simplified Explanation

The present disclosure is about a compression vest designed for children with autism spectrum disorder. The vest has front and rear air tube pads embedded in the front and rear portions, which are located near the chest and back of the wearer. Air can be injected into these pads to provide suitable pressure for stabilizing the child. The air injection can be controlled through a mobile application or a manual pump. The vest's outer skin has circular and linear bonding portions to prevent air from easily escaping and ensure even inflation and uniform pressure throughout the vest. The innovation increases pressurization efficiency relative to the amount of injected air.

  • The compression vest is designed for children with autism spectrum disorder.
  • It has front and rear air tube pads embedded in the front and rear portions.
  • Air can be injected into the pads to stabilize the child.
  • The air injection can be controlled through a mobile application or a manual pump.
  • The vest's outer skin has circular and linear bonding portions to prevent air from escaping.
  • The air tube pads evenly inflate and apply uniform pressure throughout the vest.
  • The innovation increases pressurization efficiency relative to the amount of injected air.

Potential Applications

  • Therapeutic education for children with autism spectrum disorder
  • Sensory integration therapy
  • Occupational therapy

Problems Solved

  • Lack of stabilization for children with autism spectrum disorder during therapeutic education
  • Uneven pressure distribution in compression vests
  • Difficulty controlling the amount of pressure applied

Benefits

  • Improved stabilization for children with autism spectrum disorder
  • Even pressure distribution throughout the vest
  • Control over the amount of pressure applied
  • Enhanced efficiency in pressurization

Original Abstract Submitted

the present disclosure relates to a compression vest for a child with a autism spectrum disorder that has an auxiliary role in stabilizing a child with a autism spectrum disorder to allow efficient progress in therapeutic education, and more particularly, to a compression vest for a child with a autism spectrum disorder that has front and rear air tube pads embedded in a front portion, which is a portion near a chest of a wearer, and a rear portion, which is a portion near a back of the wearer, wherein air is injected, with pressure set to be suitable for stabilizing the child, into the front and rear air tube pads embedded in the front and rear portions, the injected air may be controlled through an application installed in a mobile terminal, the air may also be injected using a manual pump, and the front and rear air tube pads embedded in a front portion and a rear portion of a vest outer skin have a circular bonding portion and a linear bonding portion so that, while the injected air is not allowed to easily escape to the outside and the air tube pads evenly inflate and apply uniform pressure throughout the compression vest, an air pressure of the air tube pads is directed inward, and thus pressurization efficiency is increased relative to the amount of injected air.
