METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SL DRX OPERATION IN NR V2X - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18554854 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING SL DRX OPERATION IN NR V2X

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method for wireless communication between two devices, where the first device acquires configuration information, receives scheduling information from the second device, and exchanges data outside of its active time.

  • Acquiring SL DRX configuration:
 - The first device obtains information related to its active time for communication.
  • Receiving first SCI from second device:
 - The first device receives scheduling information (first SCI) from the second device through a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) outside of its active time.
  • Receiving second SCI from second device:
 - The first device receives additional information (second SCI) from the second device through a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) outside of its active time, including source and destination IDs.

Original Abstract Submitted

Proposed are a method for a first device to perform wireless communication and a device for supporting same. The method may comprise the steps of: acquiring an SL DRX configuration including information related to an active time of the first device; receiving first SCI from a second device through a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) outside the active time of the first device, the first CSI being for scheduling a PSSCH and second SCI; and receiving the second SCI from the second device through the PSSCH outside the activation time of the first device, the second SCI including information related to a source ID of the second device and information related to a destination ID of the second device.
