METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REQUESTING SAME PARTIAL INFORMATION FOR ALL TRANSMISSION STAS WITHIN TRANSMISSION MLD AND RESPONDING THERETO IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18517430 titled 'METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REQUESTING SAME PARTIAL INFORMATION FOR ALL TRANSMISSION STAS WITHIN TRANSMISSION MLD AND RESPONDING THERETO IN WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method and device for requesting partial information for all transmission STAs within a transmission MLD in a wireless LAN system. The reception MLD transmits an ML probe request frame to the transmission MLD and receives an ML probe response frame in return. The probe request frame includes a frame body and a probe request ML element, with the frame body containing a request element when the reception STA requests the same partial information for all transmission STAs.

  • Method and device for requesting partial information for all transmission STAs within a transmission MLD in a wireless LAN system
  • ML probe request frame is transmitted from reception MLD to transmission MLD
  • ML probe response frame is received by reception MLD from transmission MLD
  • Probe request frame includes frame body and probe request ML element
  • Frame body contains request element when reception STA requests same partial information for all transmission STAs

Original Abstract Submitted

Proposed are a method and a device for requesting the same partial information for all transmission STAs within a transmission MLD and responding thereto in a wireless LAN system. Specifically, a reception MLD transmits an ML probe request frame through a first link from the transmission MLD. The reception MLD receives an ML probe response frame through the first link from the transmission MLD. The ML probe request frame includes a first frame body and a probe request ML element. When the first reception ST A requests the same partial information for all transmission STAs, the first frame body includes a first request element and the probe request ML element does not include a profile sub-element of the second transmission STA.
