VACUUM ADIABATIC BODY AND REFRIGERATOR - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18508279 titled 'VACUUM ADIABATIC BODY AND REFRIGERATOR
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a vacuum adiabatic body that includes a first plate member, a second plate member, a sealing part, a supporting unit, a heat resistance unit, and an exhaust port. The heat resistance unit consists of a conductive resistance sheet and a side frame to resist heat conduction between the first and second plate members.
- The vacuum adiabatic body includes a first plate member and a second plate member.
- A sealing part seals the first and second plate members to create a vacuum space.
- A supporting unit provides structural support for the body.
- A heat resistance unit reduces heat transfer between the plate members.
- An exhaust port allows gas in the vacuum space to be exhausted.

Unanswered Questions
How does the conductive resistance sheet improve heat resistance in the vacuum adiabatic body?
The conductive resistance sheet is designed to resist heat conduction flowing along the wall of the vacuum space, thereby reducing the heat transfer between the plate members.
What are the specific materials used in the heat resistance unit to achieve optimal heat resistance?
The specific materials used in the heat resistance unit, such as the conductive resistance sheet and side frame, are not mentioned in the abstract. Further details on the materials and their properties would be needed to understand the technology better.
Original Abstract Submitted
A vacuum adiabatic body includes: a first plate member; a second plate member; a sealing part sealing the first plate member and the second plate member to provide a third space in a vacuum state; a supporting unit; a heat resistance unit for decreasing a heat transfer amount between the first plate member and the second plate member; and an exhaust port through which a gas in the third space is exhausted. The heat resistance unit includes a conductive resistance sheet capable of resisting heat conduction flowing along a wall for the third space, and a side frame fastened to the conductive resistance sheet to define at least one portion of the wall for the third space. Accordingly, a vacuum adiabatic body may be capable of resisting heat conduction.
