Possible Prior Art

Prior art in this field may include patents related to motor control in printing devices, sheet conveying systems, and precision printing technologies.

Unanswered Questions

How does the control unit determine the first output value based on the second output value?

The patent application does not provide detailed information on the specific algorithm or method used by the control unit to calculate the first output value.

What are the potential limitations of the holding control feature?

The patent application does not address any potential drawbacks or limitations of the holding control function, such as increased wear on the motor or decreased efficiency in certain printing scenarios.

Original Abstract Submitted

A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, a conveying unit configured to convey a sheet to a print position of the printing unit, a motor configured to drive the conveying unit, and a control unit configured to control rotation of the motor. The control unit is capable of executing holding control of holding the motor at a stop position. The control unit is configured to decide a first output value, which is an output value of the motor in the holding control, in accordance with a second output value which is an output value of the motor before stopping at the stop position.
