COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18482474 titled 'COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a communication apparatus that receives information wirelessly from another communication apparatus. This information includes the permissible delay time for data reception and the data length transmitted at once by the other apparatus. Based on this information, the communication apparatus decides the data rate for communication with the other apparatus and notifies it of the decided data rate.

  • The communication apparatus receives information about delay time and data length from another apparatus.
  • It decides the data rate for communication based on this information.
  • It notifies the other apparatus of the decided data rate.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Wireless communication systems where multiple devices need to coordinate their data transmission and reception.
  • Internet of Things (IoT) networks where devices need to optimize their communication based on network conditions.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures efficient data transmission by adjusting the data rate based on delay time and data length.
  • Helps avoid data congestion and delays in wireless communication.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved data transmission efficiency and reliability.
  • Optimal utilization of network resources.
  • Enhanced performance and responsiveness in wireless communication systems.

Original Abstract Submitted

A communication apparatus receives, from at least one other communication apparatus wirelessly connected to the communication apparatus, first information representing a permissible delay time until completion of data reception by the communication apparatus after data transmission by the at least one other communication apparatus, and a data length of data transmitted at once by the at least one other communication apparatus, which are requested by the at least one other communication apparatus, decides, based on the first information, a data rate used for communication with the at least one other communication apparatus, and notifies the at least one other communication apparatus of second information about the decided data rate.
