SIDELINK FEEDBACK INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18397112 titled 'SIDELINK FEEDBACK INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for transmitting feedback information in a sidelink communication system, where a first terminal sends indication information to a second terminal, indicating the availability of a specific resource for feedback transmission. The second terminal then sends feedback information using the indicated resource, reducing the possibility of contention failure and improving data transmission accuracy.

  • The method involves a first terminal sending indication information to a second terminal, specifying the availability of a particular resource for feedback transmission.
  • The second terminal then uses the specified resource to send feedback information, reducing the likelihood of contention failure and enhancing data transmission accuracy.

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in various communication systems where feedback transmission is critical for data accuracy and reliability, such as wireless networks, IoT devices, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication systems.

Problems Solved

This technology addresses the issue of contention failure in feedback transmission, which can lead to data inaccuracies and communication inefficiencies in sidelink communication systems.

Benefits

Some potential challenges in implementing this method could include resource allocation optimization, compatibility with existing communication protocols, and scalability for large-scale deployment in complex communication networks.

Original Abstract Submitted

This application provides a sidelink feedback information transmission method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: A first terminal sends first indication information to a second terminal, where the first indication information indicates that first channel occupancy time includes a first physical sidelink feedback channel PSFCH resource; and the first terminal receives, on the first PSFCH resource, feedback information from the second terminal. In this application, the second terminal sends the feedback information by using a resource contended by the first terminal. Compared with a solution in which the second terminal contends for a resource to send the feedback information, this solution in this application can reduce a possibility of a contention failure of the second terminal, and improve accuracy of data transmission.
