CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROLLING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18388325 titled 'CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROLLING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract of the patent application describes a computer program that displays content to be printed based on print data and provides a notification if the print data does not include an object corresponding to specific RGB values, even when a setting for printing that object is activated.

  • The method involves displaying content to be printed based on print data.
  • If the print data does not include an object corresponding to specific RGB values, a notification is provided.
  • The notification alerts the user that the object corresponding to the specific RGB values is not included in the print data, despite the activation of a setting to print that object.
  • The setting is for printing a specific region in a print target image using a specific color ink that is not a process color.
  • If the setting is activated and the print data includes the object corresponding to the specific RGB values, the notification is not executed.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Printing applications that require specific color matching and notification of missing objects in print data.
  • Graphic design software that alerts users of missing elements in their print designs.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures that users are aware of missing objects in their print data, preventing errors in the final printed output.
  • Helps users maintain color consistency and accuracy in their printed materials.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improves the quality and accuracy of printed materials by alerting users to missing objects in their print data.
  • Enhances user experience by providing notifications for potential errors in the printing process.

Original Abstract Submitted

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a prescribed program causes a computer to execute a method including displaying a content to be printed based on print data, and executing, in a case where the print data does not include an object corresponding to first RGB values, a prescribed notification of not including the object corresponding to the first RGB values in the print data even though a first setting is being activated. The first setting is to print a first print region corresponding to the first RGB values in a print target image by using a first color represented by use of at least a specific color ink being an ink of a color other than a process color. In a case where the first setting is being activated and the print data includes the object corresponding to the first RGB values, the prescribed notification is not executed.
