MR-DC IMPROVEMENTS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18276875 titled 'MR-DC IMPROVEMENTS

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a patent application related to disaggregated UE (User Equipment) technology. The method involves establishing a connection session, sharing a subscription credential with a second UE, transmitting a request for establishing a first PDU session via the second UE, and receiving an RRC configuration to support a radio bearer with the radio access network.

  • Disaggregated UE technology
  • Method involves establishing a connection session, sharing subscription credentials, transmitting PDU session request, and receiving RRC configuration
  • Supports radio bearer with radio access network

Potential Applications

This technology could be applied in telecommunications, specifically in improving network connectivity and resource allocation for UE devices.

Problems Solved

1. Efficient sharing of subscription credentials between UEs 2. Seamless establishment of PDU sessions for data transmission

Benefits

1. Enhanced network connectivity for UEs 2. Improved resource utilization 3. Streamlined data transmission processes

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing network resources in telecommunications industry

Possible Prior Art

There may be prior art related to UE disaggregation and network resource management in the telecommunications field.

Unanswered Questions

The article does not detail the security measures implemented to safeguard shared subscription credentials.

Original Abstract Submitted

Apparatus, methods, and computer program products for disaggregated UE are provided. An example method includes establishing a connection session. The example method may further include sharing a subscription credential with the second UE. The example method further includes transmitting a request for establishing a first protocol data unit (PDU) session via the second UE using the subscription credential. The example method further includes receiving, from the second UE, a radio resource control (RRC) configuration via the connection session to support a radio bearer with the radio access network.
