BEAM SWITCHING GAP BASED ON USER EQUIPMENT CAPABILITY - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18263663 titled 'BEAM SWITCHING GAP BASED ON USER EQUIPMENT CAPABILITY
Simplified Explanation
The patent application relates to wireless communication technology, specifically focusing on the transmission of UE capability reports and beam indications between a UE and a base station.
- UE transmits capability report to base station with minimum time interval between starting symbols of communications associated with different beam indications.
- UE receives first beam indication from base station for a scheduled communication, ensuring starting symbol is not within minimum time interval of starting symbol of a second communication associated with a different beam indication.
Potential Applications
- 5G and future wireless communication networks
- Beamforming technology in wireless systems
Problems Solved
- Efficient scheduling of communications in wireless networks
- Minimizing interference between different beam indications
Benefits
- Improved communication reliability
- Enhanced network performance
- Optimal resource allocation in wireless systems
Original Abstract Submitted
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to abase station, a UE capability report including an indication of a minimum time interval between starting symbols of communications associated with different beam indications. The UE may receive, from the base station, a first beam indication associated with a first communication, wherein the first communication is scheduled such that a starting symbol of the first communication is not within the minimum time interval of a starting symbol of a second communication associated with a second beam indication that is different from the first beam indication. Numerous other aspects are described.
