REMOTE MONITORING APPARATUS, REMOTE MONITORING METHOD,COMPUTER PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18237778 titled 'REMOTE MONITORING APPARATUS, REMOTE MONITORING METHOD,COMPUTER PROGRAM AND RECORDING MEDIUM

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a remote monitoring apparatus that allows for image switching based on user instructions.

  • The apparatus includes a distribution unit that distributes images to a user terminal.
  • The second image includes position information indicating a different position from the first image and time information indicating the same time as the first image.
  • The third image includes position information indicating the same position as the first image and time information indicating a different time from the first image.
  • The distribution unit receives switching instructions from the user terminal to switch between the first, second, and third images.
  • The second switching instruction indicates image switching in a different direction from the first switching instruction.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Remote monitoring systems for security purposes.
  • Surveillance systems for public spaces.
  • Remote control systems for machinery or equipment.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Allows for remote monitoring with the ability to switch between different images.
  • Provides more flexibility in viewing different positions and times.
  • Enhances the user experience by allowing for customized image switching.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved surveillance capabilities with the ability to view different positions and times.
  • Increased control and flexibility for remote monitoring.
  • Enhanced user experience with customizable image switching options.

Original Abstract Submitted

A remote monitoring apparatus includes a distribution unit that (i) distributes to a user terminal a second image to which position information indicating a different position from that indicated by first position information, which is position information added to a first image, is added and to which time information indicating a same time as that indicated by first time information, which is time information added to the first image, is added when receiving from the user terminal a first switching instruction indicating image switching of the first image in one direction, and (ii) distributes to the user terminal a third image to which position information indicating a same position as that indicated by the first position information is added and to which time information indicating a different time from that indicated by the first time information is added, when receiving from the user terminal a second switching instruction indicating image switching of the first image in another direction that crosses the one direction.
