ROLLER EXCHANGE MECHANISM FOR REDUCTION ROLL APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18225285 titled 'ROLLER EXCHANGE MECHANISM FOR REDUCTION ROLL APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a roll exchange mechanism for a reduction roll apparatus, which simplifies the process of replacing a roller. The mechanism includes a rail member parallel to the roller's rotation shaft, a placement part in the roll unit's support frame that sits on the rail member, a receiving part in the apparatus frame where the rail member is placed, and an opening in the apparatus frame for inserting and removing the roll unit.

  • The roll exchange mechanism simplifies the process of replacing a roller in a reduction roll apparatus.
  • The mechanism includes a rail member parallel to the roller's rotation shaft.
  • A placement part in the roll unit's support frame is designed to sit on the rail member.
  • A receiving part in the apparatus frame holds the rail member.
  • An opening in the apparatus frame allows for easy insertion and removal of the roll unit.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Industrial manufacturing processes that involve reduction roll apparatuses.
  • Any industry that uses rollers and requires easy replacement.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Simplifies the process of replacing rollers, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.
  • Provides a secure and stable placement for the roll unit during replacement.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Reduces the time and effort required to replace rollers.
  • Minimizes the risk of damage to the roll unit during replacement.
  • Increases overall productivity and efficiency in industries that use reduction roll apparatuses.

Original Abstract Submitted

A roll exchange mechanism for a reduction roll apparatus, capable of contributing to simplifying work for replacing a roller is provided. A roll exchange mechanism for a reduction roll apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a rail member disposed parallel to a rotation shaft of a roller of the reduction roll apparatus, a placement part disposed in a support frame of a roll unit and configured to be placed on the rail member, a receiving part disposed in an apparatus frame of the reduction roll apparatus and configured so that the rail member is placed thereon, and an opening formed in the apparatus frame of the reduction roll apparatus and configured so that the roll unit can be inserted therein and removed therefrom.
