WHEEL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING WHEEL STRUCTURE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18134288 titled 'WHEEL STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING WHEEL STRUCTURE

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a wheel structure with a unique design involving a first hub member, spokes, guide parts, and a second hub member. The spokes are rotatably coupled to the first hub member and are slidably coupled to the guide parts, which in turn are rotatably coupled to the second hub member.

  • The wheel structure includes a first hub member, spokes, guide parts, and a second hub member.
  • The spokes are rotatably coupled to the first hub member and slidably coupled to the guide parts.
  • The guide parts are rotatably coupled to the second hub member.

Potential Applications

The wheel structure could be used in various applications such as bicycles, wheelchairs, carts, and other vehicles requiring wheels.

Problems Solved

This design provides a more stable and durable wheel structure compared to traditional designs. It allows for smoother rotation and better weight distribution.

Benefits

The benefits of this wheel structure include improved stability, durability, and performance. It also offers easier maintenance and potentially longer lifespan.

Potential Commercial Applications

The wheel structure could be of interest to manufacturers of bicycles, wheelchairs, carts, and other wheeled vehicles. It could also be used in industrial applications where sturdy and reliable wheels are needed.

Possible Prior Art

One possible prior art could be traditional wheel structures with fixed spokes and hub connections. However, this design with rotatable and slidable components offers unique advantages in terms of stability and performance.

Unanswered Questions

How does this wheel structure compare to other innovative wheel designs on the market?

What materials are used in the construction of this wheel structure and how does it impact its performance?

The article does not mention the specific materials used in the construction of the wheel structure or how they may affect its performance characteristics.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed is a wheel structure including a first hub member, a plurality of spokes that are provided in a circumferential direction (C) of the first hub member, protrude outward from the first hub member in an outward direction (R) intersecting the circumferential direction (C), and have sides coupled to the first hub member, guide parts to which the plurality of spokes are slidably coupled, and a second hub member to which sides of the guide parts are rotatably coupled, wherein the plurality of spokes include a rotation spoke rotatably coupled to the first hub member.
